The Faculty of Applied Sciences organizes open days every year. During them, we will be happy to introduce mathematics to you in a different light than you have known it before. We will be happy to show you, for example, its applications in industry, technical sciences and economics. We will also be happy to discuss the open issues of theoretical mathematics with you. You will also find out what you can learn while studying at the Department of Mathematics – whether to combine theoretical knowledge and computer skills in solving complex tasks or how to apply different approaches to interesting issues motivated by real situations. You will also get information about the employment of our graduates. Finally, you will also meet people who will teach you mathematics at FAS and with whom you will meet at the Faculty.

At the same time, we would like to emphasize that the door to the Department of Mathematics is open all year round. Therefore, if you are interested, we also offer the opportunity to arrange an individual tour of the Department or the opportunity to attend a real University lecture in mathematics.
